Mario Gutierrez is a Winds Instructor at Beatty Elementary School for the Riverside Arts Academy. Mario is a graduate from Riverside City College where he obtained an Associate in Arts Degree. Mario had studied clarinet with Don Foster who is also a studio recording artist for motion pictures.  Mario had been involved with both the Marching Tigers and Wind Ensemble under the direction of Mr. Gary Locke and Mr. Kevin Mayse. During his time at RCC, he has traveled and performed with both groups to Paris and Nice France along with Tokyo, Japan, Hawaii and other states.  After graduating from RCC, Mario had went onto obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at the California State University of Fullerton where he studied clarinet under Dr. Hakan Rosengren. During his years of study, he performed in both Symphonic Band and University Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Mitch Fennell. Mario currently works at TownGate Elementary as an instructional assistant for students with special needs. Mario also works at Perris High School as a marching and music instructor, Riverside King High School as a clarinet choir teacher and clarinet instructor, and most recently at Ramona High School as a woodwind instructor.  Mario had also enrolled at California Baptist University for 2 years of graduate studies in education where he was involved with both the University Concert Band and Pep Band under Dr. Guy Holliday.
