Kayla Shadel is a senior at CSU-San Bernardino majoring in Music with an emphasis in Music Education. She has performed in various ensembles at CSUSB including the symphonic band, concert choir, flute choir, and saxophone quartet. She has played multiple instruments including all of the saxophones, bass clarinet and flute. She has also guest conducted the symphonic band twice.
She has played with the RCC marching tigers where she marched in the 2013 celebration of 30 years, production Spies and Superheroes. During the summers of 2014 and 2015, she was the cymbal section leader of Incognito Drum & Bugle Corps which was the corps first cymbal section ever.
Kayla teaches winds and percussion at Highgrove Elementary as a student assistant. She started her teaching career back in 2014 when she was hired to be on the percussion staff for Sultana High School in Hesperia, CA for the 2014-2016 marching band seasons and as the woodwind instructor for the 2017 season.
